A Date With The Wedding Planner - Day 2
Day 2 wasn't as hectic as day 1 as our only travel itinerary was in Makati to meet our gown/barong designer for the wedding. I met with Cha at McDonalds Quezon Avenue cor. Edsa then we drove to Makati in her classic Benz. It took as about an 45 minutes to get to our destination.
We were welcomed by Joel Bautista's assistant in his office. It really surprised me when I learned that Joel Bautista actually has an MD degree. I can't place which one is his hobby, doctoring or designing. Nonetheless, I was impressed. ^_^
Taking my measurements took less than 5 minutes. I haven't decided on the design for my barong yet but so far, among the samples Joel has shown me, I picked two. I'm still waiting for more sample designs from Joel right now before making my final choice.
That's about the core activity for day 2. Since my schedule that day was also packed to the brim, we've decided to discuss the other wedding concerns by phone and text messaging throughout the remainder of the week.
=====================
Looking back at the target tasks to accomplish I posted before my vacation ....
1.) First communion
2.) Meet cha for discussions regarding wedding concerns
3.) food tasting
4.) get my measurements taken for my wedding getup
5.) inform our primary sponsors that they are our primary sponsors
I failed to accomplish task #1. As I thought, it was impossible to find a church that offers to give this sacrament in such a short notice. On top of that it was also a busy week for the church as we were in the middle of the Holy Week.
4 out of 5 major tasks were accomplished yet we are still behind schedule. Cha reassured me that all the remaining items to take care of for the wedding are already minor ones. I guess it means those concerns do not need to be addressed immediately. >_< I still can't help but feel uneasy though. There are still a lot of things to do.
